The mission of the Alaska Pacific University Nordic Skiing Center, APUNSC, is to promote the development of cross country skiing in Anchorage through community based athletic programs, and education. Members of the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage receive a subscription to Alaska Nordic Skier and a chance to support and encourage Nordic Skiing around Alaska. Funds received are used for the grooming and maintenance of more than 130 kilometers of ski trails.

Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks

The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of cross country skiing. Throughout our six month ski season, we organize a variety of recreational and competitive activities for skiers of all ages, including group tours, youth programs, clinics, races, and tracksetting. Members receive a monthly newsletter providing information on skiing events and activities.

Kachemak Nordic Ski Club

The Kachemak Nordic Ski Club is dedicated to the promotion of Nordic skiing in the Kachemak Bay area on Alaska's southern Kenai Peninsula.

Salcha Ski Club
Salcha, Alaska
The Salcha Ski Club is a nonprofit corporation established to promote and encourage the sports of cross country skiing and running among the youth of the Salcha area. We provide ski lessons, hold training / conditioning sessions and conduct ski races. We also maintain the Darrell L. Coe Salcha Nordic Racing Trails, which consist of 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) of hiking/running/cross country skiing trails.

Seward Nordic Ski Club
Seward, Alaska
A non-profit organization dedicated to grooming trails on public land for public use. Primarily non-motorized winter trails, some summer use on Mile 12. The Club has been active for over 20 years. The club designed and constructed the trails at Mile 12 of the Seward Highway. These trails are designed in accordance with Federation International Ski standards and are suitable for national and international ski competitions.

Tsalteshi Trails Association

The purpose of the Tsalteshi Trails Association is to provide for the establishment, maintenance and perpetuation of the Tsalteshi Trail System (trail map w/contours) (trail map w/distance markers) located near Skyview High School, thereby providing opportunity for every interested individual to participate in cross-country sports, regardless of their ability, income, or personal goals and aspirations.

Contact the AXCS National Office to sign up your club - It's Free! All that the AXCS requires is a postal address for shipping promotional materials and your agreement to distribute those materials to your club members at potlucks, workouts, races, swaps, anywhere your group meets or can pass the good word.

Small Print: AXCS typically defines "Clubs" as either non-profit local community organizations with adult (25+ years) programs or training groups (non-profit or commercial) specifically working with adult XC skiers. We also include in this directory selected local XC organizations that have ties to major citizen performance skiing events and programs.
