Offering the domestic equivalent of the Worldloppet Passport and WL Gold/Silver Master awards, the American Ski Odyssey is a fun way to provide incentive to ski as many different ASM events as possible over whatever time frame you choose (1 season or 10!).

Just like the worldwide loppet series, the Odyssey recognizes skiers that complete at least 10 different full (Gold) or half (Silver) distance ASM races. There is no time limit for fulfilling this challenge. Full races can combined with half distances for the Silver recognition. Placing is never factored...just participation and completion of the required number of events.

The ASM Ski Odyssey has stamps available at all races for after you complete a given race (you need to ask at each race office) as well as stamps at the AXCS Office for skiers that forget to get booklets stamped when they finish a given race.

The Odyssey honors completion of any ASM member event starting from the 2004 season. For retroactive recognition of races completed skiers just need to send the AXCS office your booklet to get stamps for past seasons.

Skiers will only be able to get Odyssey credit for completion of any ASM race with a current AXCS membership.

As with the Worldloppet, those that reach the 10 event threshold will be eligible to be certified by AXCS as an American Ski Odyssey Gold/Silver Master with an appropriate award. AXCS/ASM will also be looking into attractive artistic items that only Odyssey Masters would be eligible to purchase at cost. Every Odyssey Master will also annually be recognized on xcskiworld.com, in The Master Skier as well as the XC World Digest. And...as with the Worldloppet, skiers can become x2, x3 etc. Masters.
